This public key is available on keyservers. Gpg with extra verbose mode on indicates that the key at that webpage that the key it supposedly contains is 0xC9A70EF4B68FE2EC. I downloaded the file from my VM, and was able to successfully import it into Kleopatra. I then exported it to GPGv2.2 using the command gpg1 -export | gpg -import, and exported it from GPGv2.2 using gpg -export -a > cert_new.pgp. It gave me the same error, but this time, when I added the -ignore-crc-error flag to GPGv1.4, it correctly imported into my keyring. I spun up a linux VM, installed GPGv1.4, and tried importing it. I got the idea to try using GPGv1.4 instead of GPGv2.2 to import the certificate, since GPGv1.4 was the version used to generate the certificate. I tried using the -ignore-crc-error flag, but it still didn't work. This told me that the problem was probably because of a problem with the certificate itself, and not GPG. Gpg: import from 'cert.pgp' failed: Invalid keyring Gpg: read_block: read error: Invalid keyring Trying to import the certificate directly using gpg -import cert.pgp told me that there was a CRC error with the certificate. U/meat258's comment helped me solve this problem. I tried importing it both with the version number included and excluded, to no avail. ![]() ![]() I'm pretty sure the key is valid, as found here. However, when I try to import the file, both Kleopatra and GPA tell me that no key was found in the file. Hi guys, I'm trying to import a PGP public key on Windows.
